Lunching in Style with Inspirational Ladies

If you were lucky enough to catch brilliant London UK-based designers Xsenia & Olya when they showed at Vancouver Fashion Week in Fall 2012, then you will definitely want to clear June 8th on your social calendar.

The Central St Martins-schooled duo will once again be showcasing their striking trademark digital prints in our fair city at the Ladies Who Lunch event at Vancouver’s Arbutus Club. Ladies Who Lunch, founded by Maria Kritikos, is a global premier business and social networking group for female entrepreneurs with a dream who want to make a difference in the world.

Guests will spend an inspirational afternoon enjoying lunch and networking with some of Vancouver’s most successful women. The day will feature Xsenia & Olya’s exclusive show, three inspirational speakers, and entertainment by international musician Karla Sax.

This event is a fabulous collaboration for Xsenia & Olya who are inspired by well-travelled women with a refined eye – those who seek comfort in clothes because they are more active and mobile, but still want to look and feel beautiful.

With so many celebs going over the top with lavish, money-blowing weddings (…ahem, Mariah…), it was refreshing to see mega-starlet Keira Knightley go the low-key, low-budget route for her fête in the south of France. She even wore a dress she already owned and had worn before – bravo! It was a simple but elegant short, strapless tulle dress by Chanel’s Karl Lagerfeld, with flats, and a cropped Chanel jacket. Lovely!
